EL-series is a design that features a threaded piston rod and lock ring. When the lock ring is screwed down and engaged with the cylinder body, the load can be held mechanically for extended periods. These cylinders are ideally suited to bridge construction and maintenance and jacking applications requiring safe extended load holding. All EL-Series cylinders feature a hard chrome bore for maximum corrosion resistance and a special coating on the piston rod and lock ring to resist corrosion and abrasion. Hardened removable saddles are standard and tilt saddles are optional. An oil overflow port which restricts piston stroke is standard on all models.
Characteristics:
- Safety lock nut for mechanical load holding.
- Sing-acting, 10-200 ton cylinder models are spring. return, 250-1000 ton cylinder models are load return.
- Overflow port functions as a stroke limiter.
- High strength alloy steel for durability.
- Chrome plated piston resists wear and corrosion.
- Baked enamel finish for increased corrosion resistance.
- Each cylinder has an HH-II R2 3/8 male half coupler and dust cap.
- Each cylinder has a flat grooved saddle. Tilt saddle is available on request.
